Head Coach Matt Scott
Coach Scott begins his third year as head coach and athletic director at Hueytown High School. Coach Scott coached at Spain Park High School for three years and prior to that he coached at Cullman High School for 15 years. He served as Offensive Coordinator for five seasons. He received a B.S. in Physical Education and Health Education from Athens State and UAB, respectively. He also received a Master’s Degree in Administration from the University of Alabama. He is from Cullman, Alabama and is married to Tomi Scott. They have two daughters, Madden who is two and a half and Paityn who is 7 months old. |
Chris Elmore
Assistant Head Coach / Offensive Coordinator
Coach Elmore is a 1994 graduate of Fort Payne High School. While playing quarterback and safety for his father, Jerry Elmore, he was a three year letterman and team captain. He was named to the “All Time Fort Payne Wildcat Team” as a starter at free safety by the Wildcats long time play-by-play announcer. He is a 1999 graduate of Mississippi State with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Coach Elmore and his wife Cassandra have been married for 6 years and have a daughter, Callie, who is 2 years old. This will be his 7th year at Hueytown. He will also begin his 5th year as the Varsity Boy’s Basketball Coach. |
Zac Glaze
Strength & Conditioning Coordinator / Offensive Line
Coach Glaze is a 2002 graduate of Oak Grove High School and a 2007 graduate of UAB. This will be his 8th year of coaching and his 5th here at Hueytown. He served as the Defensive Line Coach at Oak Grove High School for 3 years prior to coming to Hueytown. This will be his 3rd year as the Offensive Line Coach here at Hueytown. In addition to the Offensive Line, Coach Glaze is also the Strength and Conditioning Coordinator. He is married to the former Brook Bartley of Pleasant Grove, AL. |
Mark Stephens
Defensive Head Coach
Coach Stephens was born and raised in Cullman, Alabama. He played Junior College Baseball at Snead State Community College. He was Defensive Coordinator at Holt High School in 2002, Defensive Coordinator at Bob Jones High School in 2003, Defensive Co-Coordinator at Paul Bryant High School in 2004, Defensive Coordinator at Cullman High School in 2005-2008, and Defensive Coordinator Spain Park High School in 2009. Coach Stephens is married to the former Katrina Iacobelli, also from Cullman. His hobbies include waterfowl hunting, retriever training, and anything in the great outdoors. He and his wife have one son, John Mark, who is four months old. |
Danny Stiff
Defensive Coordinator / Special Teams Coordinator
Coach Stiff was born in the town of Henderson, Louisiana. He is a graduate of Hoover High School where he was a two time All State defensive end. He was also on two state championship football teams while at Hoover. Coach Stiff was an accomplished wrestler at Hoover High School. He coached the defensive line at Spain Park High School in 2009. Coach Stiff’s hobbies are martial arts. |
Drew Barnett
Defensive Assistant
Coach Drew Barnett is in his fifth year of coaching football. He graduated from Athens State University with a B.S. in Social Science. Drew has made coaching stops at Lauderdale County in Rogersville, AL, as well as Hunters Lane High School in Nashville, TN before making his way to Hueytown. He has coached running backs, wide receivers, defensive backs, and linebackers. Drew currently teaches World History at Hueytown Middle School. Drew is married to Kayla Barnett and they have one son, Weston. |
Matt Stockton
Receivers Coach
This is Coach Stockton’s 5th year in Coaching and his 1st year at Hueytown. He was previously at Spain Park High School where he coached Quarterback/Receivers from 2007-2010. He is a 2004 Graduate of Russellville High School where he lettered 4 years in Baseball & Football. He was on the 2002 & 2003 5A Football State Champion Runner-Up Team. During his high school career, he set 2 school records while playing QB at Russellville High School. Coach Stockton's hobbies are being outdoors and attending sporting events. He will graduate from Athens State University with a B.S. degree in Kinesiology in the Spring. |
Willie Wyatt
Defensive Assistant
This is Coach Wyatt’s second tour at Hueytown High School. Before Hueytown, he taught and coached at the following High Schools: Holt, Gardendale, Hueytown, Minor, and Spain Park. Coach Wyatt started his football career at Gardendale High School and played college football for the University of Alabama. While at the University, he completed and earned a degree in Criminal Science. His career progressed to the National Football League. He played for Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Pittsburg Steelers, and the Philadelphia Eagles. He went on to play in both the World League and Arena Football League. Orlando Thunder was the World League team and the Tampa Bay Storm the Arena Football League team. Accolades include: All-State First Team /All-American (Gardendale High) 1984 and 1985. At the University of Alabama, he was Sophomore All-American and First Team all SEC 1987, 1988, and 1989. Coach Wyatt is from Gardendale, Alabama. He and his wife (Annette) have three children Ambrianne (12), and Kennedy & Keenan are both 7 years of age. |
