Head Coach Matt Scott

 

Coach Scott begins his fourth year as head coach and athletic director at Hueytown High School. Coach Scott coached at Spain Park High School for three years and prior to that he coached at Cullman High School for 15 years. He served as Offensive Coordinator for five seasons. He received a B.S. in Physical Education and Health Education from Athens State and UAB, respectively. He also received a Master’s Degree in Administration from the University of Alabama. He is from Cullman, Alabama and is married to Tomi Scott. Coach Scott and his wife have two daughters, Madden, who is three and Paityn, 19 months old.

Chris Elmore

 

Assistant Head Coach / Offensive Coordinator

 

Coach Elmore is a 1994 graduate of Fort Payne High School. While playing quarterback and safety for his father, Jerry Elmore, he was a three year letterman and team captain. He was named to the “All Time Fort Payne Wildcat Team” which was compiled by the Wildcats long time play-by-play announcer. He is a 1999 graduate of Mississippi State with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Coach Elmore and his wife Cassandra, have been married for seven years and have two children. Callie is three, and Troy was born July 31. This will be his eighth year at Hueytown and fourth year as the Offensive Coordinator.

Trent Campbell

 

Defensive Assistant

 

Coach Campbell begins his first year with Hueytown as the defensive backs coach. He started his coaching career as a graduate assistant at UAB where he assisted with defense and special teams. He then moved on to coach the DBs for two years at Minor High School. Coach Campbell attended Oak Grove High School where he played football and baseball. He then attended UAB where he received a B.A. in History and a Master's Degree in Education. Coach Campbell is married to the former Valerie Pruden.

Zac Glaze

 

Offensive Line Coach / Strength & Conditioning Coordinator

 

Coach Glaze is a 2002 graduate of Oak Grove High School and a 2007 graduate of UAB. This will be his sixth season coaching at Hueytown. This will be his fourth season as the Offensive Line Coach and Strength & Conditioning Coordinator. Before his time here and while finishing his degree, Coach Glaze worked for his former football coach, Mike Battles II, at Oak Grove HS for three seasons. He has been married for three years to the former Brook Bartley of Pleasant Grove, AL.

Mark Stephens

 

Defensive Head Coach

 

Coach Stephens begins his third season as Defensive Head Coach. Born and raised in Cullman, Alabama, he played baseball at Snead State Community College. He served as Defensive Coordinator at Holt High School in 2002 and Bob Jones High School in 2003. In 2004, he worked as Defensive Co-Coordinator at Paul Bryant High School in 2004. Coach Stephens then went to Cullman High School as Defensive Coordinator from 2005-2008. At Spain Park High School, he served as Defensive Coordinator in 2009. Coach Stephens is married to the former Katrina Iacobelli, also from Cullman. They have one son, John Mark, who is sixteen months old. His hobbies include waterfowl hunting, retriever training, and anything in the great outdoors.

Willie Wyatt

 

Defensive Assistant

 

This is Coach Wyatt’s second tour at Hueytown High School. Before Hueytown, he taught and coached at the following High Schools: Holt, Gardendale, Hueytown, Minor, and Spain Park. Coach Wyatt started his football career at Gardendale High School and played college football for the University of Alabama. While at the University, he completed and earned a degree in Criminal Science. His career progressed to the National Football League. He played for Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Pittsburgh Steelers, and the Philadelphia Eagles. He went on to play for the Orlando Thunder (World League team) and the Tampa Bay Storm (Arena Football League team). Accolades include: All-State First Team /All-American (Gardendale High) 1984 and 1985. At the University of Alabama, he was Sophomore All-American and First Team all SEC 1987, 1988, and 1989. Coach Wyatt is from Gardendale, Alabama. He and his wife (Annette) have three children Ambrianne (13), and Kennedy & Keenan are both 8 years of age.
