Each week during the football season, at the HHS Quarterback Club meetings, four players are named as "Players of the Week" for the previous game. After each varsity game, the coaches select four individuals for these prestigious awards based on their excellent performance, leadership and overall improvement.
Hueytown has a great history of preparing players for the next level. Several Gophers have continued their football careers in college, and even professional football. Click below to see the Gophers who have made it to the Pros, and those who currently play college ball.
